Shot Stress Test

Can you make that shot in the space you actually have?

Bring a reference frame, a location photo, and your real gear. Ceeniq turns the gap between the look you want and the set you have into a shootable plan.

Example planning question

“Can our small daylight room carry this moody side-lit portrait?”

ReferenceDark background, narrow side key, deep shadows

LocationBright window, pale walls, limited depth

ConstraintsOne light, one camera, short setup window

The plan weighs the compromises, suggests a setup, and tells you what to check in the first test shot.

Illustrative scenario, not a generated result.

A beautiful reference is useful only if you can translate it into choices your crew can make in your actual space.

  • A feasibility read

See what looks achievable in your space, what looks difficult, and which conclusions depend on assumptions.

  • Risks and fixes

Find likely problems with placement, light, background, and available space, each paired with an action to try.

  • Three approaches

Choose between the closest look, the fastest setup, and the approach that needs the least gear.

  • A test-shot checklist

Take a short list of specific things to check on location before committing to the setup.

  • Capture versus post

Separate decisions that need to happen in camera from adjustments that can plausibly wait for the grade.

  • One included review

Upload your first test shot to see the biggest remaining gap and one physical change to try next.

The first pass plans the setup. The included review helps you decide what to change after you try it.

  1. 1

Show the target and the space

Upload the frame you want to evoke and a photo of the actual location where you will shoot.

  2. 2

    Name your constraints

List available gear, your camera and lens if known, and practical limits such as crew, time, power, or space.

  3. 3

    Test the plan

Use the plan on location. Upload one test shot afterward for an included review against the reference.

Find the hard part before shoot day.

Stress-test a look against your location and gear, then bring the first test shot back for a focused next step.

What do I need to run a Shot Stress Test?

A reference image, a photo of your real location, a list of available gear, and a short description of your shoot constraints. Camera and lens details are optional.

Does it tell me whether an exact match is possible?

No. A still cannot reveal exact fixtures, focal length, exposure, room dimensions, or power needs. The plan gives a practical estimate, calls out assumptions, and suggests what to verify with a test shot.

What does the included test-shot review do?

After the plan, upload one image from your test setup. Ceeniq compares it with the reference and plan, identifies the biggest actionable gap, and suggests one physical change to try next. One review is included per completed plan.

How many credits does it cost?

A completed plan costs 3 credits and includes one test-shot review. Credits are spent only when plan generation succeeds.

Are my images and plan public?

No. Stress Test images and plans are private to your account.
